Alpha Pro DCR Universal Cinema-Format Conversion Lens
The Alpha Pro DCR is our largest anamorphic lens for larger projectors with 17:9 internal display panels (Digital Cinema Resolution with 4096×2160 pixels) such as JVC projectors with the 100mm lens, the Sony GTZ380, and many larger Christie and Barco projectors with DCR resolutions.
Please see the Alpha Pro DCR Installation Guide for information on the lens system itself. Remember that the Alpha Pro DCR increases the image width by about 10%, so please factor that into your theater calculations. Basically, whatever the throw ratio of the projector is, divide by 1.1 to get the actual theater throw ratio. Also, the Alpha Pro DCR comes with a mounting plate to connect to its own ceiling mount in front of the projector. The lens is so heavy (12 pounds) that attachment to the projector may significantly change the projector balance. We recommend Chief ceiling mount components (not included).

The Alpha Pro DCR is optimized for throw distances from 12′ to 30′. Optional corrector elements (see the Dealer Portal) are available for throw distances of 30′ – 40′ and 40′ – 70′.
