The Panamorph UH480 is a high performance, anamorphic add-on lens installed in front of digital projectors to convert them to a higher (wider) aspect ratio. The UH480 is based on a patented hybrid cylindrical-prism design and currently represents the industry standard for home cinema conversion to 2.40:1 screens. It is sold and endorsed by more home cinema projector manufacturers than any other lens.

The UH480 includes the following features ...

Black aluminum and molded plastic housing with included black aluminum bracket.
Total lens weight with bracket of approximately 8.5 pounds (3.8 Kg). Lens dimension without bracket is approximately 5.4" wide x 5" high x 7.6" long.
Large entrance aperture of 3" x 3" (4.3" diagonal) for maximum versatility.
Five element, 100% glass, patented, fully multicoated optical design corrected for chromatic aberration and astigmatism in standard home cinema environments.
Accepts even large beams and produces low distortion and exceptional image quality up to and beyond 1080 resolution at throw ratios down to 1.6 (image distance divided by pre-lens image width) Supports throw ratios down to 1.4 when used with smaller beams and curved projection screens.

The MTH1 transport supports the UH480 with a simple, clean, oil-free mount to easily push the lens in and out of the beam with no loss of ideal alignment. Like the ATH1, the MTH1 transport integrates with the Panamorph AK Attachment Systems shown below.

UH480 Lens/ATH1 Transport/AKXPro Kit Plate/Simulated Projector

The AKX ("X" denotes version number) is a unique and proprietary attachment kit that allows the lens or lens/transport assembly to be easily mounted for perfect plug-and-play configurations. The custom attachment plate fits between the projector and the ceiling mount via the identified holes (see instructions) for many popular projectors. No shifting of the ceiling mount is necessary. Small black steel chains support the additional weight of the lens system for added rigidity and safety. The kit has all the necessary alignment of projector, lens and transport already engineered into the plate design, and includes all the connection hardware (ceiling mount not included). Approx. 18.6"x17.6". Packaged weight approx. 4 pounds.

The AKXPro is an alternative to the AKX kit that includes a heavy gauge steel version of the AKX plate with additional attachment points to connect directly to the RPA mounting head made by Chief Manufacturing. The assembly results in a projector shift of 50mm to the right of the ceiling mount. As long as the RPA mount (not included) is extremely strong and rigid, the AKXPro allows the system to be mounted with no support chains for a cleaner installation look.
